Read Our Strategic Plan
Our full roadmap for dignified sanitation β toilets, water, showers, energy & compost β serving Haiti, DR Congo, South Sudan, Sudan, and the USA.
"Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." β 1 John 3:18
We do more than
build toilets
From the very beginning, we design a full cycle β so every community we serve is left cleaner, stronger, and more self-reliant.
Our mission is simple:
PoopPotty is a Christian ministry under The Leprous International. We believe sanitation is not merely infrastructure β it is health, safety, dignity, and hope. We collaborate with local leaders, churches, schools, clinics, and community organizations, welcoming partnership with government programs, UN-aligned initiatives, and reputable NGOs β because lasting impact requires shared responsibility.
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyoneβ¦
β Galatians 6:10
Sanitation is not merely
infrastructure
It is health, safety, dignity, and hope. We serve in a Christian spirit of compassion and faithful stewardship β welcoming collaboration with local communities, churches, civil society, and reputable institutions of goodwill, because dignity, health, and hope belong to everyone.
Why dignified sanitation must be
a full cycle
In many communities, families still lack safe toilets and basic hygiene. Where water is scarce, hygiene collapses. Where waste is unmanaged, illness spreads.
Dignity is more than a toilet.
-
πPrivacy and safety β especially at night
-
π§Child-friendly and accessible options
-
π§±Cleanable, durable structures
-
πΏShowers and washing areas that honor human dignity
-
π§Water access to sustain hygiene daily
-
β»οΈA system that leaves no harmful residue behind
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves⦠defend the rights of the poor and needy.
β Proverbs 31:8β9Mission, Vision & Values
To deliver dignified sanitation and hygiene systems
Powered by safe water access and sustainable waste-to-value solutions β protecting health, restoring dignity, and strengthening resilience through transparent stewardship and local ownership.
Communities transformed by dignity
Communities where families can use safe toilets, access water, bathe with dignity, and benefit from waste transformed into energy and compost β reducing disease, improving safety and school attendance, and strengthening self-reliance.
Compassion
We serve with Christ-like love and respect for all β in every community, every context.
Stewardship
We protect donor trust through wise, documented spending β every dollar accounted for.
Partnership
We work with communities, churches, NGOs, and institutions β because lasting impact is shared.
Excellence
We build for long-term use, not short-term applause β quality that outlasts the ribbon cutting.
Transparency
We report honestly β including lessons learned. Our credibility is built through truth, not only success.
Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
β Matthew 25:40Baseline Snapshot β
end of 2025
We enter 2026 as a growing startup ministry. This baseline helps donors and partners understand our current stage and what we are building next.
Our foundation is already in place.
- Committed ministry leadership under The Leprous International
- Relationships and networks in target countries (field access varies by context)
- Online presence (PoopPotty.com) and donor communication channels
- Early-stage program design for sanitation, water access, and sustainability components
Our systems are taking shape.
- Standard designs for toilets + showers + water systems + waste-to-value solutions
- Unit budgets and procurement processes for each program package
- Formal partner MOUs and community selection criteria
- Monitoring, evaluation, and learning β baseline + 3/12-month checks
- Financial controls β documented approvals, receipts, and reporting routines
- Monthly donor program and anchor partnerships in the USA
We will not overpromise. We will pilot, learn, document, and scale responsibly. Our credibility will be built through results, integrity, and faithful stewardship.
Our Theory of Change
Sustainable sanitation is achieved when facilities, water access, and waste management are designed together β supported by community ownership and transparent systems.
Donations, partners, materials, and local labor committed to the mission.
Build toilets + showers, develop water sources, implement biogas and compost systems, train local caretakers.
People served, facilities built, water points supported, energy generated, compost produced.
Reduced open defecation, improved hygiene, safer living, more cooking energy, improved food-growing capacity.
Healthier, safer, more resilient communities β with restored dignity at the centre.
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
β Zechariah 4:10Six Strategic Pillars
Every decision, every build, every partnership is anchored to one of these six pillars. Together they form the complete framework of dignified sanitation.
Dignified Sanitation Delivery
Household, school, and clinic sanitation facilities designed for privacy, safety, durability, and accessibility β built to last, not just to count.
Water Access + Full Showers
No water, no hygiene. We support boreholes, wells, storage and distribution, and water transport β so people can bathe, wash, and live with dignity.
Waste-to-Value Sustainability
We treat human waste as a resource: biogas for cooking and energy, compost for food-growing β reducing residue and supporting self-reliance.
Local Ownership & Maintenance
Community committees, trained caretakers, spare parts planning, and follow-up checks at 3 and 12 months β keeping systems functional long after we leave.
Partnerships, Safety & Field Ops
Vetted local partners, safeguarding standards, security-informed planning in fragile contexts, and coordinated implementation on the ground.
Transparency, Stewardship & Donor Trust
Documented spending, clear reporting, and honest learning that protects both donors and communities. We report our failures as well as our wins.
Three Full-Cycle Program Packages
Each package is a complete, integrated solution β not just a toilet, but a full system designed for the specific needs of each setting.

β Luke 6:38Transparency & Stewardship
Donor trust is sacred.
We commit to transparent reporting and wise stewardship β in every country, every project, every dollar.
Documented approvals and receipts for every project expense β no exceptions.
Photo documentation and community sign-off for every completed installation.
Progress, spending summaries, and lessons learned β shared every quarter.
Results, challenges, and improvements β published openly every year.
Every field partner is vetted with clear memoranda of understanding before work begins.
We report what didn't work as well as what did β credibility built on truth, not only success.
Risks & How We Mitigate Them
We plan for what can go wrong β because prudent preparation is part of faithful stewardship.
MitigationWater mapping before each site, phased solutions (wells, boreholes, storage, or transport), and realistic maintenance planning from day one.
MitigationExpand only when conditions allow. Rely on vetted local partners. Pause or relocate when security demands it β no exceptions.
MitigationTrain local caretakers, establish community maintenance committees, and conduct 3 and 12-month follow-up checks on every installation.
MitigationMaintained supplier lists, local sourcing where possible, and budgets built with contingencies to absorb price fluctuations.
MitigationTwo-person approvals, separation of duties, and mandatory documentation requirements for every financial transaction.
MitigationCommunity consultation before design, culturally appropriate solutions, and local leadership buy-in as a prerequisite for every project.
How You Can Help
This work is possible because people choose compassion. If you share our heart for dignity and health, there are several ways to join.
Stable, recurring support helps us plan, sustain field operations, and serve communities with consistency and accountability.
Give Monthly βFund a household cluster, a school block, a clinic facility, or a water source β and receive direct reporting on what your gift built.
Churches, businesses, and institutions can fund, mobilize volunteers, and strengthen local systems through long-term partnership.
Help spread the mission and strengthen communities through hope. Every conversation plants a seed.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give⦠for God loves a cheerful giver.
β 2 Corinthians 9:7We welcome all people of goodwill β
because every life deserves dignity.
